These Privacy Policies (“Policies”) apply to the use of the Kidday service (“Service”). By creating a Kidday account or using Kidday, you accept and understand these Policies. Kidday is a service owned by Muntius Oy (“Company,” “We,” or “Our”). Muntius Oy’s business ID is 2767159-2. These Privacy Policies describe the actions we take to collect, store, use, transfer, and share the information you store in our Service. Familiarizing yourself with these Privacy Policies will help you manage your privacy. The Policies also inform you of your rights. The Privacy Policies also explain how we handle your information with third parties. A third party refers to an individual, company, organization, or other entity that uses our Service to advertise or communicate important matters to them, or in other ways utilizes the information stored in our Service. General

Muntius Oy provides you with the Kidday service tailored for your use. Our goal is to offer you a reliable and user-friendly Service for recording and sharing important moments and information about a child’s growth with close individuals. Our Service also features various partners and advertisers. By using our Service, you confirm that you have received and understood this privacy policy and accept the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the actions outlined in this document and our terms of use, then you cannot use our Service. Your Privacy-Related Rights

You have several rights related to the personal information we hold about you. If you wish to exercise the rights described below, you can contact us at support@kidday.com. We aim to respond to all requests as soon as possible, no later than 30 days from receiving your request and sufficient proof of identity. Your rights are listed below:

  1. Right to access your stored personal information
    • You have the right to know what information we have about you and to receive the information transmitted to you.
    • Please note that you can easily access and modify your information through our mobile application. You can find information there about recent Premium subscriptions, personal identifying information (including name, email address, password, address, age, gender, and notification settings), as well as profiles of children you may have saved and the information associated with them. You can delete your user account and the information stored in our Service using our mobile application.
  2. Right to restrict the processing of personal information
    • You have the right to request that we stop processing all or some of your personal information if you believe your personal information is inaccurate, our processing is unlawful, or we no longer need your personal information for a specific purpose.
  3. Right to object to the processing of personal information
    • You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information if the processing is based on our legitimate interest and/or if we use your information for direct marketing purposes.
  4. Withdrawal of permissions related to personal information usage
    • In some cases, we may ask for your consent to use your information for specific purposes. If you grant us permission to use your information, you can later change your mind and withdraw your consent by modifying the settings in our mobile application, if our Service provides these options in our mobile application. If you withdraw permissions, certain functionalities of our Service may lose their functionality.
  5. Data portability
    • You have the right to receive your personal information in a portable and machine-readable format.
  6. Right to correction or deletion of personal information
    • You have the right to have some of the personal information we hold corrected or deleted. You can use, edit, add/remove, and/or update most of the basic information you have stored through our mobile application. When deleting personal information about you, we may still retain some or all of this information for other purposes, such as maintaining financial records, protecting or enforcing legal rights, or for technical reasons, such as maintaining the integrity of our database. We may also retain your information in an anonymized form.
  7. Deactivation or deletion of personal information
    • If you have created a user account in our Service and you object to the processing of your personal information or wish to deactivate your user account, you can carry out the deletion of your user account through our mobile application or by contacting us via email at support@kidday.com.
  8. Withdrawal of direct marketing consent
    • If you have opted to receive direct marketing messages from us (such as newsletters) and want to stop receiving them, you can withdraw this consent through our mobile application. Please note that the use of our Service requires certain communication between us and you.
  9. Communication with other users of our Service
    • Our Service is designed so that, by default, the child’s parent/guardian defines which individuals belong to our Service’s closed social network. In practice, the parent/guardian determines which people interact with whom. The Terms of Use could also explicitly add consent to the initial visibility of personal information among the closed social network built around the child.

As stated above, you can always choose not to provide information, even if it might be necessary for making purchases or utilizing specific features of our Service.

Collected Information

Our goal with the Service is to provide you with an easy-to-use and reliable way to manage important aspects of a child’s growth and family life through a single application. To achieve this, we collect, use, and store information about you. By using our Service, you can store information within it. We collect, store, use, transfer, and share this information.

In this section, we introduce the types of personal information we collect when you interact with our Service. In practice, we utilize all information stored within our Service in some way.

  1. Registration and User Profile Information
    • This includes information such as your first name, last name, email address, hashed login password, phone number, address, country, profile picture, age, and gender. When you invite close individuals to your child, we also store their contact details, permissions, and relationship to the child.
  2. Usage Data of our Service
    • For instance, we collect information such as images, videos, audio content, texts, likes, child-related information, and connections you save. We also store the date and time of actions related to the aforementioned activities. For instance, we require access to your device’s camera roll to enable uploading of photos and videos.
    • We collect information about the activities of those close to the child within our Service.
    • Metadata of saved images, videos, audio content, and other files. This includes information such as the location of saved photos or the creation date of files. This helps us enhance application use and provide better features.
    • Purchase Information. We collect information, such as when you purchase the Kidday Premium version. We store information such as the time of purchase, selected subscription period, and payment amount.
    • We collect data about how and when you use our Service for development and troubleshooting support. This includes actions like data collection, use of our Service’s features, frequency of use, and information about unused features. For instance, we store information related to the usage time of the application.
  3. Location Information
    • While using our Service, we may collect location data. With your permission, we may also collect precise location data through methods like GPS, wireless networks, cell towers, Wi-Fi access points, and other sensors such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, and compasses. If you have granted us permission to collect your location data, we collect this information whenever you open our application to enhance your user experience. This feature is used, for instance, for content customization and targeting.
  4. Financial Information
    • When you purchase the Kidday Premium version, we store information about the purchase. However, your bank card details for the purchase are not stored in our systems.
  5. Device Information, which aids in your use of our Service.
    • We store information like: device make and model, operating system version, device memory size, unique device identifiers, browser type and version, language, communication connection speed, IP address, time zone, sensor information, and the version of our Service’s software you are using. Additionally, we receive information about your wireless and mobile network connections, such as your service provider and signal strength.
  6. Information from Third Parties
    • If you link your Kidday account to another service (like a third-party application), we may receive information from that service, such as how you use that service. For example, when you decide to register or log in to our platform using third-party login features, these third parties provide us with information such as your name, email address, and public profile.
    • Delivery services and other third parties may provide updated delivery and address information, which we use to correct information and possibly facilitate the delivery of ordered physical products.
    • Additionally, merchants whose products we sell may provide us with account information, purchase or redemption information, and page-view information.
    • Advertisers may also share information with us. We may use this information obtained from advertisers to, among other things, help target or measure the effectiveness of advertisements.

Use of Personal Information

Your privacy is important to us. When applying the GDPR, we process your personal data only if we have a legal basis for the processing. Below are examples of the use of your personal data. The purpose of using the data is mentioned in the title (no.) and subsection (a) tells what personal data we use and subsection (b) how tells how long we use the data.

  1. Enables purchases and orders within our mobile application.

Sharing of Personal Information

We may share your user profile information within the closed Kidday network built around the child. This network includes individuals such as the child’s parents, grandparents, and other close individuals. We share the following information among the members of this closed network as described above: first name, last name, birthdate, email address, and relationship to the child. This information is transmitted to all close individuals when you accept a child’s follower invitation or act as a parent/guardian. You can control the sharing of your basic information through our mobile application’s profile page.

By using our Service, you understand and agree that your personal information may be stored and/or transferred outside your home country globally.

We may share aggregated, non-personal, or de-identified information with third parties. These third parties could include advertisers, service providers, or research partners. We do not sell our users’ personal information to third parties for consideration.

If a third party processes user data of our Service on our behalf, it is subject to this privacy policy and security and confidentiality obligations that are at least as restrictive as applicable law requires.

We use external service providers to offer technical solutions or services for data storage and processing through a technical interface. We may use third-party service providers such as email service providers, credit card processors, shipping agents, and data analyzers. We have the right to share personal information as necessary for these providers to offer their services to us.

We may share your information in the event of a merger or sale of our company. This applies to a complete or partial sale or merger situation. In such cases, we will inform you in advance and you can review the sharing of information before the sharing process begins.

Third-Party Content and Integrations

Our Service may contain links to third-party content or we may directly integrate third-party services into our Service. Through these links and integrations, you may provide information (including personal information) directly to a third party, us, or both.

Data Protection

We strive to protect the security of your information during transmission by using encryption. Please note that we are not responsible for any loss or disclosure of data, or for any losses or damages arising from transmission errors or unauthorized or unlawful actions of third parties, or your decision to disclose your personal information.

We use one or more third-party payment processors to process payments. In connection with such payments, we do not retain personal identification or financial information such as credit card numbers. All such information is provided directly to our third-party processors, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy.

It is important that you protect your password and device from unauthorized use.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of all third-party services you visit or use, including those third parties you interact with through our Service.

Sometimes, we may send offers on behalf of selected groups of our Service users by other parties. When we do this, we do not share your information with that party.

Data Retention

We store profile and user account information, such as first and last names, passwords, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, and content you create, such as messages, comments, loves, photos, and videos for as long as necessary to provide our Service to you. If you want us to stop storing this information, you can delete your data through our mobile application or by contacting us at support@kidday.com.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that deletion will occur within a specific timeframe. There may be legal requirements for retaining personal information, or we might receive a legal process requesting us to retain content. We might also receive reports of misconduct or other violations of terms of use, preventing us from deleting information.

While our system is designed to perform automatic deletion, we cannot promise that deletion will occur within a specific timeframe. There may be legal requirements for retaining your information, causing us to suspend these deletion practices if required by law or if we receive reports of misconduct or other violations of terms of use. We may retain certain information in backup for a limited period or as required by law.

Children

Our Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years old, and we do not sell products to children. If you are under 13, do not send personal information through the Services without obtaining prior written consent from your parents/guardians.

We sell children’s products for purchase by adults. If you are under 18, you may only use our Service to purchase products with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Users in the United States

In addition to this Privacy Policy, the following practices apply only to residents of the United States regarding the personal information processed by the Company as part of its business operations.

General Terms of Service

When using our Service, all privacy disputes are subject to this Privacy Policy and our terms of use, including limitations on liability. Disputes will be resolved under Finnish law.

Updating Privacy Policies

We continuously develop and change our Service and operational methods. Due to this, changes may be made to these Privacy Policies. If not required by law, we will notify you of changes to these Privacy Policies (e.g., through our Service) at least 30 days before they take effect, and you can review the new Privacy Policy content before it becomes effective. If you use the Service after the Privacy Policy takes effect, we consider you to understand and accept our updated Privacy Policy. If you do not want to accept these or the updated Privacy Policies, you can stop using our Service and delete your account.
